Cambodia - Kingdom of Wonder

Warm welcome
Cambodia was showcased tonight at a special evening presented by the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Cambodia Night was held for Buyers and Sellers of ITE HCMC 2014 currently being staged in HCMC. It was held at the Rex Hotel in HCMC.

The male MC was Mr Nou Chomnob and Ms. Angela Tan. The Cambodian National Anthem was played after the distinguished guests and the national and international ITE exhibition delegates arrived. A short video was shown highlighting the many scenic wonders of Cambodia.

His Excellency Dr Thong Khon, the Minister of Tourism of Cambodia, welcomed all those present in his Welcome Address.

The dinner consisted of many dishes of typical Vietnamese food that utilised many fresh ingredients. The dishes were brought one out after one and they were all delicious.

Mr Luu Meng gave a brief introductory talk about Khumer Cuisine. He is the Chef at Khuner Cuisne and the President of the Cambodian Cuisine Association. He emphasised that Cambodian Cuisine used fresh ingredients.


The evening was then filled with music and dancing on the stage to entertain the guests while they ate. Included in the program were:

  • Song and Dance “Tourism Potentials of Por Sat” by Ms. SON Sreypich

  • Fashion Parade featured of Traditional Clothes modelled by Khumer Super Models Sun Super Models Cambodia.
  • Song and dance “Wonder of Anchor Heaven by SON Sreypich
  • The second dance “Best Kra Vagn”
  • Song and dance – “Winter at Koh Sdach” by Ms. Son Sreypich
  • Song – “Remember When” by Mr HEANG Vantana
  • Song – “Truong Son Dong Truong Son Tay” by Ms, BUT Kanya and Mr Cheaning Sarat
  • 2nd Fashion show of Fancy Beeches’ Cloths of Future Green
  • Song and Dance ”Single Lady” by Ms, SOK Sylalin
  • 3rd Dance

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Cambodia.

It has encouraged me to visit Cambodia within the next 12 months for the first time to experience for myself what it has to offer
