T-QUAL 'Q-Factor' Campaign Shines Light on Quality Tourism Heroes

Matt Moran
T-QUAL Accreditation is celebrating the people and the passion that represent Australia's symbol of tourism quality, the T-QUAL Tick, through its 'Q-Factor' campaign. The campaign puts the spotlight on quality tourism by showcasing some of the unique personalities at the heart of the Australian tourism industry.

Some of the great Australian tourism operators that will be featured in the campaign include: Sydney Coast Walks (NSW); Alto Hotel on Bourke (VIC); Australian Wine Tour Company (VIC); Saffire (TAS); Pennicott Wilderness Journeys (TAS); Matteo's (VIC); BIG4 Cairns Coconut Resort (QLD); Reef Magic Cruises (QLD) ; Skyrail Rainforest Cableway (QLD); Exmouth Cape Holiday Park (WA); Ningaloo Ecology Cruises (WA); Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre (SA); and Nitmiluk Tours (NT).

Since the Government launched T-QUAL Accreditation in April 2011, Tourism Australia has run two successful campaigns to promote the T-QUAL Tick: the T-QUAL Tick Tour with Matt Moran in 2012 and the world's first blogger race around Australia in 2013.*

Katherine Droga, Tourism Australia's Executive General Manager of Destination Development, says this next phase will provide domestic travellers with a behind-the-scenes insight into some of the outstanding Australian tourism operators who are championing quality in the industry by carrying the T-QUAL Tick.

"With more than 10,000 tourism businesses around Australia currently T-QUAL endorsed, this campaign is a great way to showcase tourism operators that deliver outstanding quality experiences to local and international visitors," Ms Droga said.

"As we celebrate our great nation in the lead-up to Australia Day, we're proud to recognise the people who make our tourism industry world-class," Ms Droga said.

Having experienced the calibre of people working at T-QUAL endorsed businesses around Australia on the T-QUAL Tick Tour, renowned chef Matt Moran knows better than most the devotion it takes to create a quality experience for visitors.

"I had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic personalities on the Tour, whose passion and energy for what they do was absolutely contagious. Just as the good memories from a delicious meal, a comfy hotel bed or a spectacular scenic trip makes you want to come back and do it all again, so too does the experience of being looked after by these incredible tourism operators," says Moran.

The T-QUAL Tick helps consumers to make more informed choices by being able to readily identify Australia's quality tourism products and services.

Tourism businesses that carry the T-QUAL Tick have undergone rigorous assessment to ensure they deliver a quality experience. These businesses are members of quality assurance schemes that have met the requirements of T-QUAL Accreditation.

There are thousands of great tourism operators that carry the T-QUAL Tick which are easy to find at www.tripadvisor.com.au/tqual.
