Australians Remember on ANZAC Day

ANZAC is commemorated in Australia and New Zealand on the 25th April every year. Special services are held in many villages, towns and cities to remember those that helped their country in years gone by. It is a public holiday, with many business's closed all day, whilst some just open in the afternoons after 1pm. This gives the opportunity for as many people as possible to be involved in ANZAC Commemorations in the morning.  In Muswellbrook, NSW Australia, people are invited to the following -
  • Dawn Service 6.00 am at the Cenotaph, then to War Graves corner Bowman & Brecht Streets, then to Vietnam Memorial, Breakfast at the RSL Club on completion.
  • Church Service at St Albans 9.00 am (Short Service) all members are encouraged to attend.
  • March and Anzac Day Service 10.00am. Commences in Market Street near Cenotaph.
