The world's largest tourism website, TripAdvisor, has ranked as “Excellent” the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. The museum was voted among the most attractive tourist destinations in 2012 in Hanoi.
To receive the recognition, tourist destinations needed to be rated above four stars on a five-star scale, based on reviews posted on the website within the last 12 months.
With 232 votes of excellence and 188 votes of very good quality, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology was rated four and a half stars and was ranked among the 80 most attractive destinations in Hanoi by TripAdvisor.
Coming to the museum, tourists can study about Vietnam’s history and heritage. The museum includes an indoor and an outdoor exhibition. The indoor part is composed of the exhibition building, office, research centre, library, storage, technical lab and auditorium. The outdoor exhibition highlights different types of houses from ethnic groups all across Vietnam.
The museum receives about 60,000 visitors annually.
