Religious Tourism Opportunity Prompts New Makkah Pullman

Zamzam Grand hotel
Accor and Saudi-headquartered Munshaat Real Estate Projects have partnered up to rebrand the popular Zamzam Grand hotel in the heart of Makkah, as a Pullman property.

The 948-room and 367-suite property is a distinctive landmark in Makkah, centrally located just a few steps away from Al Haram Al Makki facing King Abdulaziz gate, within walking distance of the holy Masjid al Haram. The Zamzam Pullman is part of Abraj Al Bait complex that shelters the lunar observation centre, Makkah Islamic Heritage Museum and a wide range of lifestyle facilities.

Commenting on the announcement at Arabian Travel Market, Christophe Landais, Managing Director, Accor Middle East, said: “We are pleased to partner with Munshaat, one of the leading hotel developers in the region and are delighted to introduce our upscale Pullman brand in Makkah. With such a prestigious new address in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia we welcome pilgrims from all over the world. This hotel represents an important step for the brand in the Middle East and is the latest addition to Accor’s current network of our Pullman properties in the region.”

The hotel will undergo extensive renovation starting with the public areas and restaurants in May 2012.
