World's Greatest Shave
The World's Greatest Shave is the greatest fun for the greatest cause! Any excuse to have fun is a great idea – and even better if it helps others!
This weekend, thousands of people in Australia will get sponsored to shave, colour or wax their hair to help people with blood cancer.
It's not too late to sign up to be brave & shave or colour your hair, as long as you raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation's important work.
The World's Greatest Shave raises funds for the Leukaemia Foundation's important work – providing free practical and emotional support to people with blood cancer and their families, as well as investing millions in research. Since 1998, over a million people have shaved or coloured their hair, raising in excess of $120 million. But your support for our biggest source of income has never been more important.
When blood cancer changes the lives of 11,500 Australians each year, the Leukaemia Foundation is ready. By raising funds through the World’s Greatest Shave, we are able to continue to fund blood cancer research, and provide free services to support Australian families.
How the money helps
Thousands of Australians will turn to the Leukaemia Foundation in 2012. Thanks to your fundraising we’ll be able to keep our services free and help more people than ever before. The World’s Greatest Shave is still the biggest contributor of funds to the Leukaemia Foundation’s multi-million dollar research investment each year.
If you would like to help this great cause please sponsor a good mate of mine, Isaac Lee, a High School student who lives in Canberra and is colouring his hair for the day. Please sponsor him and help him reach his fundraising goal of $200 to raise money to support blood cancer patients and to fund vital research through the Leukaemia Foundation. It would be great if enough people pitched in and surprised him by exceeding his goal and reach $2000 To help sponsor Isaac please go to his sponsorship website http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=440449
Please be as generous as you can!
