Why Las Vegas Is the Perfect Destination for a Family Getaway

The Eiffel Tower Restaurant
Planning a family vacation can be a nightmare, especially when your family members each have very different tastes. Everyone is going to have his or her own idea of the perfect getaway, so deciding on one place can take a lot of negotiating. Do you pick somewhere that’s tranquil, where you can relax by the hotel pool and enjoy some luxurious spa treatments, or do you go for something more adventurous, like a mountain trek in Colorado? Or you might like to pick out a family break that comes with plenty of variety, so that each member of your family can do what they enjoy most upon arrival.

Bellagio fountains
Despite its reputation as adult-oriented, Las Vegas actually has something for everybody, even the kids and goes far beyond the concept of just casinos and the Nevada Desert. There are hundreds of shopping opportunities to be enjoyed (with many that are exclusive to Las Vegas) – so many in fact, that you won’t know where to start. Fine dining is also top class here, and you will be spoiled for choice with all of the different styles of cuisine from around the world. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel offers a breathtaking view of the famous Bellagio fountains, and the Top of the World Restaurant, sitting 844 feet above the ground, gives a sprawling view of the entire city that is even more spectacular at night.  Kids and adults alike are sure to be impressed.

Vegas Strip
Of course, for those who want to test their luck on the roulette tables or slot machines, no other place on Earth can boast the kind of energy and atmosphere found in Las Vegas. The city has an impressive number of casino-hotels, making it even easier to get everything you need out of your trip in one place. Vibrancy is the word here, and just stepping foot on the Vegas Strip will show you the full extent of why Vegas is so popular. There are numerous lighting displays that make up the outline of the city at night – something that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

Neon Museum
Any trip to Las Vegas should not go without a visit to one of its amazing live shows that can be seen at any one of the city’s top hotels. Over the next few months, world famous acts like the Lanouba , Cirque du Soleil, and La Reve will all be on stage, and offer the perfect end to an exciting day in the city. Great musical acts, too, seem to gravitate toward Las Vegas. The city is also home to several museums including the Neon Museum, The Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.

Las Vegas is known as the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World,’ and for good reason. Once you take a short break there with your family, you’ll be wishing you had more time to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
