Chinese New Year Celebrations Boost Australian Tourism

The recent Chinese New Year Celebrations have given Australia a huge tourism boost.

International arrivals increased by 4.8% in January 2012   This increase was helped brought about by the large number of Asian people coming to Australia for the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Celebrations were held in each of the major cities in Australia, such as Sydney and Melbourne.

The Australian Bureau Of Statistics figures just released show that there was a huge increase of 27.4% of visitors from China, 22% from Hong Kong and 19% from Taiwan.
