BTC to be Held in Rimini Italy
Rimini, in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, is the centrepiece of Italy's Adriatic Riviera. Every year thousands of tourists flock to Rimini for its long sandy beaches, Mediterranean climate, food and culture, and its tourist-friendly philosophy.Rimini has an all year round population of 100,000 - which, during the summer months, rises to aprox 1million!
BTC – Italy’s events exhibition BTC, Takes place in Rimini, and is the marketplace where event, meeting, conference and incentive travel organisers meet a wide range of industry suppliers. BTC is also the main event for networking and professional education for the Italian meetings and events industry community. Entry to the show is free of charge, and reserved for industry professionals and operators.
Since 1983, BTC has been the only Italian trade show exclusively dedicated to events (events, meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive and business travel), the sector related to tourism, marketing and communication. BTC is held over two days every year.
BTC is the international marketplace where professional corporate, association and agency events organisers meet, through an effective system of pre-scheduled appointments, a wide range of suppliers: destinations, tourism boards, convention bureaus, hotels and hotel groups, historic venues, conference centres and event venues, DMCs, team building agencies, providers of audiovisual, technological, entertainment, catering, events support and transport services.
BTC is also the main event for networking, debate and professional education for the events industry community. As well as the B2B activities in the exhibition spaces, the show offers a rich programme of seminars, conferences, round table discussions and practical workshops to provide exhibitors, visitors and hosted buyers with tools to foster professional growth, business development and a strategic vision of the market.
BTC also provides a series of opportunities specifically dedicated to networking, to enable participants to make new contacts and deepen relationships with clients, suppliers, peers and competitors.
BTC takes place in Rimini, at the Fiera di Rimini Exhibition Centre, at the beginning of the summer. The Rimini Expo Centre, inaugurated in 2001 and designed by Hamburg´s Studio GMP, is located at the north end of the town, occupies a total area of 460,000 square metres (160,000 of which are landscaped) and has an on-site on site railway station on the Milan - Bari line and a helicopter landing site. The centre is all laid out on one level and entirely cabled; three separate entrances, linked by shuttle bus, enable several expos or events to be held simultaneously. It has 169,000 sq metres of useable space, 109,000 of gross expo space, 59,000 sq metres of services, 16 halls all on ground floor level, air-conditioned and able to be blacked out, 20 modular conference rooms, a business centre, three press rooms, 2 restaurants, 3 free-flow eateries, 10 food service points and parking space for 11,000 cars with motorhome facilities.
